Quote Book ~ Quotes To Add To Your Book

I thought I would do the quotes today to add to your quote book...

~"S'now place like home."

~"To make a winter friend, find a carrot and some snow, gather up your friends, and roll a bunch of snow!"

~"A sledding we will go."

~"Free snowmen. Some assembly required."

~"Take time to chase the snowflakes"

I thought I would share some snow / snowman type quotes today...since so many of you...I'm betting...got lots of snow. I just got inches and inches of rain here! I figured you'll have lots of photos to use with these quotes. Anyway, remember to stop back again for more quotes next week...and I wanted to add...no idea who or where I got these quotes...I've been saving them for my pages. So enjoy the quotes!

Ps. Before I forget...you want to check out http://bigredscraps.ning.com/ They have an Art Gallery that lots of CTMH consultants put their artwork on to share. You'll get to see lots of great ideas! So, if you have a few minutes it's worth checking out!

Sneak Peek ~Wings Workshop On The Go

I thought today I would show you a "sneak peek" of the "Wings Workshop On The Go". You can order this WOTG starting January 1st on my website. I think once you see it...you'll want it for yourself! It comes with everything you see in the photo...and all of it is just $29.95 (of course you have to add tax & s/h). It also includes a brand new item to CTMH...it's a spray pen. I haven't used it yet but have heard only good stuff from other consultants. I also love how they used the stamp set to make a really pretty flower. I just love stamp sets that you can use in different ways...to come up with great stuff. Anyway, here's the "sneak peek" and I wanted to remind you...until you can order this WOTG...there are LOTS of other great products! So, if you see anything in the catalog you might want to buy it before it's gone! (almost all of the paper packs...except four sets...are retiring and there are other products getting ready to retire too!) AND, for the next few days we still have the December "Plenty For Twenty" special and the "December Stamp Of The Month" deal too!

Parents Article ~ 55 Ways To Clear Clutter ~ More Space For Scrapbooking / Stamping!

I received an email this morning and thought I would share it with you...since I don't have any art work to share today. The email is from Parents.com...Streamline Your Favorite Home Space...55 Ways To Clear Clutter. The article had some helpful ideas. I figured, if you clear clutter from your house it will free up space for more scrapbooking/stamping products. So, my sharing this info. with you is a win-win. :) Now I'm off to put some of the ideas to use. 2011 is right around the corner...I need less clutter in my house and more scrapbooking being done! How about you?

12x12 Framed Gift ~ Magnifique Paper and Stickers

Today I am going to keep the post short and sweet (like me LOL!!). So, here is the other gift I made...used the same paper pack and stickers as yesterday's gift I posted (check post 12/25). I love how it came out...just a little different, but just as nice. So, what do you think?

12x12 Framed Gifts ~ Magnifique Paper and Stickers

Hopefully everyone is having a great Christmas Day...thought I would share the last of the gifts I made...I'll show one today and one on Sunday. I bought a 12x12 frame from a craft store (not shown in the photos since they are too hard to get good photos of). I then made a page that they can add photos and journaling to (if they don't just want photos). I used Magnifique paper and stickers from the Level 1 paper pack. I think the gifts came out great, and I think I am going to make some pages for me to keep...since I fell in love with the way they came out.

Candy Bag ~ Tropical Christmas

Well, I was able to finish the last two gifts I had to make...I thought I would share a part of one today and then share the rest of them on Saturday and Sunday. The part I am sharing is on the outside so the receiver of this gift can see it (incase they are looking at the blog...don't want to ruin their surprise before they open their gifts). I made this cute candy bag as their tag on the outside of the gift. I used "Tropical Christmas" (C1292), a scrap of cardstock, and my markers to fill it in. I just love this stamp set since I live in California. I think it came out cute and wanted to share it!

Quote Book ~ Quotes To Add To Your Book

I thought I would do the quotes today to add to your quote book...

~"The best Christmas of all is the presence of a happy family, all wrapped up with one another."

~"Trimming the tree with happy hearts, that's the way the holiday starts."

~"Into the woods we march on and on, until we see the perfect one. We laugh and jump and shout with glee, we just found our Christmas tree."

~"Christmas cookies, bows, and dreams, presents all around the tree."

~"The best kinds of presents are wrapped in love, and tied up with heart strings."

I thought I would share some Christmas quotes today...since we are so close to the holiday...and soon we'll have lots of photos to go with these quotes. Anyway, remember to stop back again for more quotes next week...and I wanted to add...no idea who or where I got these quotes...I've been saving them for my pages. So enjoy the quotes...and have a very Merry Christmas!

Art & Soul Video ~ Pulling It All Together~ My Creations Mix & Mingle Album & Liquid Glass Faux Painting Technique

Since I'm not done my two gifts yet I thought I would share a new Art & Soul video instead since it just came out. Go check out "Pulling It All Together". It goes over making an adorable "My Creations Mix & Mingle Album" (Z1334), along with some other really fun projects. In the video they show how to stamp with pizzazz, and a really cool faux painting technique using (my favorite) "Liquid Glass". (I plan on trying that as soon as I can go scrapbook just for fun!) Anyway, I know everyone has busy schedules with the holidays so I thought it would nice to take a few minutes just for yourself and relax. So, enjoy the video!

Reminder: December Almost Gone ~ Go Buy Some Stuff To Get The Stamp Of The Month!!

I still have two gifts left to make...and since they aren't made yet I have no art work to share. I am hoping to be done by tomorrow. Once they are done...I will share them. Until then you might want to check out December's "Stamp Of The Month" to see if you want to get it (at a discount or free!)...because we only have a week and 1/2 left of December (if you can believe it!) and then you can no longer get this set.

Merry "Kiss" mas! Hershey Kiss Candy Cans

I thought it would be nice if my daycare children put together a gift to give Mom / Dad...except they are 5 months old, 20 months old and just turned 3 years old. So, I ended up doing most of the gift (of course) but the parts they did...came out adorable! I thought I would share their cute gifts with everyone (hopefully their families won't see this post~and the 3 year old still needs to finish her can). Inside the cans are Hershey kisses...and on the back I put Merry "Kiss" mas!! with the child's name and the year. I used chocolate cardstock (X5643) and ink (Z2111). (the red ink is their thumb print) I think they came out just too cute!

Sneak Peek ~ January Wings Workshop On The Go

I don't have any projects to share today...had to finish my holiday shopping. I think I am now all done...yeah! Well, except...for the wrapping....not a job I look forward to. Oh well, it's part of the fun gift-giving thing...love to watch the gift receiver open their gifts. I do still have 2 gifts to make this week and I'll share them once I get them done. But for now I thought I would show you a "sneak peek" of what's coming in January. I wasn't sure I would like the new paper pack...but I sure did once I got it in the mail. You'll be able to order all the new stuff starting January 1st on my website. Since CTMH is changing over to two catalogs starting in February they decided to offer a small booklet just for January with LOTS of great items on sale...you just have to buy the "Workshop On The Go" to get the special prices. Once you see the items...you'll want to buy them! And if you live close to me and want to do a crop using the new WOTG let me know and we can set up a date!

Gift bag ~ Creative Basics Mistletoe, Sparkles, and Mistletoe Assortment

So, I found out I needed another gift...didn't know that there are two food women that run the school lunch area. I put together another bag (see post 12/7 to see the other bags I made) so that my children can give it to the librarian (so the food women will get the same gift). In her bag we put a "cup of coffee" in it. Anyway, I thought I would share the bag with you. I used the "Creative Basics Mistletoe" paper pack, green Sparkles, and the red flower from the "Mistletoe Level 2 Assortment" (which is a brad). I think it came out cute. Hopefully she'll like it too.

I thought I would do the quotes today to add to your quote book...

~"I'm just as lucky as I can be for the world's best dad belongs to me!"

~"A father carries pictures where his money used to be."

~"My fingers may be small, but I can still wrap my daddy around them."

~"A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way."

I thought I would share some daddy quotes today...since my hubby is such a great daddy, I like to get quotes for all those pictures I have of him and our kids. Anyway, remember to stop back again for more quotes next week...and I wanted to add...no idea who or where I got these quotes...I've been saving them for my pages. So enjoy the quotes...and I'm betting you have lots of daddy pictures too!

Gift For Teacher ~ Mistletoe and Creative Basics Mistletoe Paper Packs ~ Note Pad

Well, I was able to get one of the projects done to show you. I made it for one of my children's teachers. I'll finish the other one and post it tomorrow. I used a note pad I got at a craft store. It has magnets on the back so they can hang it up if they want to and I made it so they can pull the note pad out and put another one in once they use up the pad. I used a piece of cardstock and a small piece of paper from the Mistletoe paper pack (X7130B), and I used the "Creative Basics Mistletoe" (X5811) paper pack. I think it came out really cute...hopefully she'll like it too!

Card Holder ~ Personal Gift

It's pretty late in the day for me to be posting...I was working on a project that I wanted to share with you guys...but with my daycare children feeling under the weather...we were all off schedule today. So I will need to finish that project before I can post it. Maybe it will be tomorrow we'll see how I feel tonight. Anyway, I did find a project that I did awhile back and didn't post it yet...so here it is...I took a small tin and covered it with paper and put my business card on the front. I can use it to hold my cards when I am out and about. It makes it more personal than a plain old card holder. I thought it was cute. These would make a really nice gift for someone too!

Splendor Paper Pack

I thought I would post this photo today since there are so many items I've been showing for the holidays. Figured we could use a small break from all the holiday type stuff. It's been kind-of cold (at least on the East Coast) and I thought this photo is just so sunny and spring like! So, if you have some time...they used the "Splendor" paper pack...it's still available...you can order it right now....but it's getting ready to retire...so take a break from the holidays...and pull out your spring / summer photos and scrapbook them. And remember...warm weather will be back before we know it!

I thought I would do the quotes today to add to your quote book...

~"The mothers of boys work son-up to son-down."

~"A Mother's love must be strong, her work is hard, her day is long. But all in all, she is truly blessed, for there is nothing so warm as a crowded nest."

~"Fathers have a way of putting everything together."

~"Daddy: Some dads are gentle, some dads are kind; some dads are busy and some dads are fine; some dads are caring and some dads refined; some dads are workers, some recline...some dads are loved, and that dad is mine."

I thought I would share family type quotes today...just feeling like my kids are getting so big so fast. My son's birthday is soon and we are talking about a party. Cute Candy Tree ~ A Timber Stamp Set With Sparkles

I have to tell you...I love the stamp set "A Timber" (A1110)...it's an amazing set...and for $7.95...you really can't go wrong...that's really a deal for this stamp set. I used it yesterday (see post 12/7) and I used it again today. Today's cute project I used a piece of retired paper from yesterday's kit...then I stamped the tree from "A Timber" stamp set using "New England Ivy" ink   (Z2135) and added some bling using Sparkles (a few from each assortment) Z1327 & Z1326. I think it came out adorable! Plus I am getting closer to having everyone on my list a nice, little gift to give them. Gotta love that! So, I'm hoping you've been busy too?! If not, and you need any help putting in an order for yourself or someone else let me know!

Gift Bags ~ A Timber Stamp Set With Sparkles

About a week and half ago I went to a Holiday Workshop that my upline, Dawn, and 2 of her friend's had...I posted about it and showed you the cute candy bag gift I made there. My mom was visiting then and not really a craft person...crazy, huh!?!...anyway, I took home a few of the projects figuring I would just have to find time and do them later. So, mom left yesterday, and today I did one of the really cute projects...again I didn't take a photo so I changed it up a little. Plus I didn't have the stamp set she used. The kit had the paper "Evensong" in it, which is retired, but we have other holiday type paper you can use. I used the stamp set "A Timber" (A1110), cranberry ink, and I added Red Sparkles (Z1326) to give it a little bling. I plan to put some chocolate or a big holiday cookie inside when it gets closer to giving the gifts out (I made two for my children to give to the librarian and food ladies at school). They are easy to make, and dress up whatever you want to hand out for the holidays!

Sorry, but it's all I have for you today...at least you can use the idea to make a little scrapbook for someone in your life!

A month ago or so I went to a crop and everyone was making really cute pumpkins for Halloween. I was working on another project I wanted to get done. So, I took my pumpkin pieces home and decided today I would put it together. It came out really cute! The paper used is "Autumn Terracotta" and the leaf was stamped using "Many Thanks" (D1371). I thought today would be a good day to share it with you. I know I've talked about "Dimensional Elements ~Ornaments" but I thought I would let you know there are a whole bunch of different shapes you can get...not just ornaments...depending on what you are working on. There are stars, flowers, borders, hearts, snowflakes...just to name a few. These items are great since you can ink the dimensional elements to match whatever project your working on...maybe even add glitter if your feeling like you need some sparkle to your project. They really dress up your page and/or cards without spending alot of money. So go check out the "Dimensional Elements" and let me know what you think!

Blog Candy Reminder

I've been crazy busy here with the holidays coming soon and my mom coming to visit for 2 weeks...so no more time for art work right now...which is a real bummer! Anyway, I thought I would just post real fast a reminder about the blog candy...incase you didn't see the post on November 1st. I need 3 more followers to hit the 30 mark! I also decided that if I don't hit 30 by November 30th I will pick a follower from all the great people who did decide to follow my blog and send the winner the blog candy. And, now I have to leave to go to the airport! Yeah...can't wait to see my mom! Have a great day!

Mini Albums

Last weekend I went to a crop and decided to make the mini albums from the kit I bought in September (Triple Play). I put together 2 of the albums. I haven't done the stamping yet...still need to decide who I am going to give them to...but, I do think these would make great gifts for the holidays. I'm thinking of using them as an example to make bigger size albums...I like how they came out but would like the photos to be 4x6 instead of 3x3. Maybe I'll have my children make a few pieces of special art work to go into the mini albums (along with some photos) and they can give them to their grandparents. Well, if you didn't buy the "Triple Play" I can still help you make the albums...from scratch...just let me know.

Quote Book ~ Quotes To Add To Your Book

I thought I would do the quotes to add to your quote book today...

~"There is only one way to lead a child down the right path...that is to go that way yourself"

~"Family faces are magic mirrors. Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future"

~"A true friend is one soul in two bodies"

~"Where we love is home- home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts"

~"Giggles and dreams, sunshine and moonbeams...that's what little girls are made of"

Hope you're enjoying filling up your quote book...remember to stop back again for more quotes next week. (wanted to add...no idea who or where I got these quotes...I've been saving them for my pages)

Flower Gift From Dawn~ Grace Paper, November SOTM and Many Thanks Stamp Set

This past Saturday I went to a crop (which was fun) and my upline Dawn gave out these really cute little gifts to everyone. It is just so adorable I thought I would share it with you. She used long, thin bags to put the M&M's in (the same bags I bought for the Halloween pencil gifts for my daughter's class...see 10/24 post). She made the flower with "Grace" paper (X7117B), and used 2 stamp sets: the November 2010 SOTM "A Little Thanks" and "Many Thanks" (D1371). These are great little "thinking of you" gifts! I thought they were just too cute to not share with you! And, while I'm posting I just wanted to remind you that the special for November is...if you spend $100.00 you will get the SOTM for free and you get to pick another stamp set for free too! (Check out the flyer I posted on 10/31 if you missed it!) Hope you enjoyed seeing my gift I received from Dawn.

Box Gift ~ Creative Basics, Holiday Warmth, and Sparkles

I thought I would share with you today a gift I made (actually made 2 of them). They are cute little boxes with soaps inside. I used the Creative Basics~ Cherry-O paper...which is now sold out...but you can use Creative Basics ~ Mistletoe (X5811) and it would be just as cute, or maybe even cuter! (and it comes with ribbon to put around the box) I also used cranberry ink for the stamped saying which came from "Holiday Warmth" (D1376), and I added some Sparkles (Z1326) to give it a little bling. These will make nice little "thinking of you" gifts during the holidays!

Ps. Also check out "Holiday Ideas" I posted in Sept. I used the same boxes but a different stamp set. I just love that you can change the stamp and it makes it seem like a whole different gift.

Oreo Cookie Turkeys ~~YUMMY!!

I saw this today at Teaching Tiny Tots and just had to share...it's not scrapbooking, but if your planning a crop or a Thanksgiving party these adorable Oreo Cookie Turkeys would make a yummy, fun snack. I'm planning to do this activity next week when my children are home from school. Go check them out and let me know what you think! Can you picture them on your table? Or in your belly...LOL! I can!

Quote Book ~ Quotes To Add To Your Book

Today is the day I thought I would add some quotes for your quote book (see post on November 4th).

~"Houses are but walls and beams; homes are built of love and dreams"

~"When life gives you scraps...make scrapbook pages!"

~"No day is so bad it can't be fixed with a nap"

~"There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots; the other wings"

~"Children are the hands by which we take hold of heaven"

These are my quotes for the week...again, wanted to add here that I have no idea who said them or where I found them...I have been collecting them for a long time to use on my pages and didn't think to keep that info. Any quotes you would like to add...please add them.

Holiday Workshop and Birthday Gift Ideas ~ Snowmen

Here is another project done at the holiday workshop...again, I wanted to let you know it's not the same as what was done at the workshop, since I finished them at home (plus I like to be a little different). The pink one I changed it to add "Happy Birthday" since my son's Kindy teacher's birthday is next week and thought it would be a cute little gift with the card he will make for her. The stamp set I used for the words is a retired set. But we have a bunch of stamp sets you can order with the words "Happy Birthday" in them. The snowman stamp is from last months SOTM. If you didn't get him, there are a few other sets with cute snowmen you can buy! Check out "All Decked Out" (D1308) or "Snow Friends" (D1244)...either set would also work for this cute holiday gift idea. The blue one also used the SOTM for the snowman and "A Sip" (A1109) was used for the words. They were really pretty easy to put together and I added a little color with my markers. I thought I would share them incase you need a fast and easy gift!

Mistletoe Paper~ Glitz Glitter Gel ~ Just For The Holidays Stamp Set ~ Clear Cards

I wanted to add another project they did at the holiday workshop...that I finished at home. I know that this one, for sure, doesn't look like what they did at the workshop because I had extra pieces of paper and ribbon (plus I added a piece of paper). I still think it came out cute! But it was a little hard to take photos of because the card is a clear plastic. I used "Mistletoe" paper (X7130B), "Glitz Glitter Gel" (Z1313), the stamp set "Just For The Holidays" (D1380), and "Clear Cards" (Z1309). (TIP TO REMEMBER: with these cards they have a clear cover you need to remove otherwise when you use your adhesive the items will not be attached to the card properly)  This card was fun to make and came out cute!

Holiday Workshop ~ Mistletoe Paper and Stickers

About 2 weeks ago I went to a holiday workshop that my upline, Dawn and two of her friends set up. It was nice to get out of the house and talk to adults (since I do daycare and my usual crowd is pretty young). I couldn't stay long, but got to work on a few fun holiday projects. (Dawn always comes up with such fun activities.) So I thought I would share with you the ones I worked on...I just finished or need to finish some of them...over the next few days. Since I didn't finish them at the workshop they will be a little different than how they had them in the workshop. Oh well, I should have taken a photo of their samples...I guess it's ok if they come out a little different. I think they are great ideas and I think they came out cute! So, here is the first one I finished...It is a little cd cover. I used the Mistletoe paper and stickers. Using the stickers made it super easy to put together. There is a spot to add a personal note and gift card...and room for the person (either me or the person I give it to) to add photos. Just a super sweet gift for someone that I care about!

Holiday Magic ~ Art & Soul Video ~ Gift Ideas

Since the holidays are coming up real soon, and I just don't have time today to put anything together to show you, I thought I would share another "Art and Soul" video with you instead. This one is an older one but has lots of good ideas for little gifts you can make. The video is called "Holiday Magic". At the end of the video they talk about a collection you can buy...but since it's an older video it's no longer available...just thought I should mention it. But...you CAN go to my website and find all kinds of other amazing items to use! (If you have any questions let me know.) So...go grab a snack, sit back, and enjoy a few minutes of  fun video time!!

Tag For The Bubble Bath Bottle~ Hollyhock Ink, Fringed Phrases & Thank You Stamp Sets

Today I was working on organizing my scrapbook stuff...still not the way I would like. Especially since I would really like a whole room just for my stuff...I know, wishful thinking! A girl can dream, can't she! While I had it all pulled apart my kids kept coming over to see if they could play with some of my stuff. I gave them each some paper and sent them on their way. When I was just about done (for now anyway) my daughter wanted to make her teacher a little thank you gift...so we put it together. She had a little bottle of bubble bath she wanted to decorate for her teacher. So this is what we came up with. I think the tag came out cute! We used a scrap paper, with "Hollyhock" ink (Z2128), and 2 different stamp sets: "Fringed Phrases" (C1366) and "Thank You" (D1361). I thought I would post it to give you an idea, with the holidays coming up. This would be nice if you want to give a little something to someone to tell them that you care.

Booklet With Information On Becoming A Consultant~ Olivia Paper, Barn Red Ink & Believe In Your Dreams Stamp Set

A few months back I went to a team meeting with my upline, Dawn. She wanted to go over some of the new changes Close To My Heart is/was planning. There is a bunch...some already happened...some are coming up...it's all very exciting! Anyway, during the meeting we made these cute little booklets...we made them to give to others who are thinking of signing up to be a consultant. I used a different stamp on the front of my booklet (didn't feel like getting inky during the meeting and thought I would do it later at home...plus I like to be a little different). I used "Olivia" paper, "Barn Red" ink, and "Believe in Your Dreams" stamp set...incase you want to make some cards...it would make a cute card too. I just thought I would share it with you today...and tell you to keep an eye out over the next few months for lots of great changes going on with Close To My Heart!

Card Idea ~ Magnifique Paper, Ice Crystals Stamp Set and/or My Stickease Adhesive Sheets

I thought I would post another photo using "Magnifique" paper. I really do just love this paper pack. The stamp set that was used is "Ice Crystals" (C1428). Or, if you don't want to do any stamping, you could buy the sticker set (My Stickease Assortment, Adhesive Sheets X7127C) and change the card just a little. Either way, you would have a really cute card to give to someone special!

Quote Book ~ Quotes and Fun Sayings ~ Added Each Week So Check Back!

I thought it would be fun to post each week (once a week) some quotes. I made a "quote book" to hold all the quotes I have found over time (and still love to find). So, why not make a book too...and each week check in to add some quotes to your book. Before you know it...your book will be full...and a great resource to use when you scrapbook and/or make cards! ***Only thing I do want to add before I get started is...I've been collecting these quotes and fun sayings but never wrote who or where I've collected them from (sorry...I didn't think it would matter since I planned to just use them on my pages). So, go have some fun! And if you can find some time...please add some of the quotes / fun sayings you have collected too (so I can add them to my book!!). So here we go:

~"Success is not final, Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts"

~"Obstacles are the things we see when we take our eyes off the goal"

~"Together is a wonderful place to be"

~"If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk forever in my garden"

~"Be who you are and say what you feel~ because those who mind, don't matter, and those who matter, don't mind!"

Hope you enjoyed them!! And remember...find time to add a few too!!
